"Monitoring Services (UK) Ltd complete Proof Load Testing at the new Saints Football Stadium" |

| During the construction of the new
stadium's six lift shafts, it was required that the eyebolts, used in
their assembly, were proof load tested. Access to the eyebolts was
restricted which meant that only a light webbing strop and hook could be
attached to it. All of the heavy equipment - chain hoist, shackles and
load cell - were then lowered into the lift shaft and load applied
through anchor bolts at floor level. Using the MSL Radio Telemetry Link
enabled the load to be monitored at the top of the lift shaft so that
visual checks could be maintained for the duration of the tests.
