MSL Oilfield Services Limited, an independent British company, is a designer and manufacturer of load cells, load monitoring systems and radio telemetry solutions for use in a wide variety of weighing and force measurement applications.

As a SME in the Solent, MSL is committed to the sustainable growth of British manufacturing.  To cultivate engineering skills in the next generation, MSL has provided apprentices with practical training and sponsored their studies.

MSL is a supplier of products and systems to many major Oil and Gas companies, as well as operating in Marine, Lifting, Crane, Defence, Construction, Automotive and many other Industrial areas. Over 90% of the Company’s production is exported.  As well as installing and servicing products on offshore rigs and FPSOs across the globe, we have placed products in over 50 countries worldwide.

MSL manufactures and markets a standard range of load cells, including the Safe-T-Weigh range of portable load indicators. Also, we have the in-house capability to customise products to meet the exact requirements of the customer across a range of applications and environments.

In-House Testing

The Company maintains a comprehensive test facility for its own design and manufacturing requirements and to provide calibration services for customers’ equipment.  Comprehensive in-house testing facilities ensure that single load cells and system engineering products meet safety requirements to 300 tonnes.  In line with LOLER regulations, MSL offers annual calibration and proof load testing.

MSL Oilfield Services Ltd operates a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and is certified by SGS United Kingdom Ltd.  A verified copy of our current ISO 9001:2015 certificate can be found here.

In addition, MSL manufactures ATEX/IECEx certified products under a Quality assurance notification (QAN).
